About South London Harpsichord Academy

Established and run by the London-based harpsichordist Masumi Yamamoto,

"South London Harpsichord Academy" started as a YouTube Channel in 2021 and it had two main objectives:

To promote the harpsichord and early keyboard instruments to curious pianists;

and to create useful resources for all learners (all levels) of the harpsichord.

It regularly uploads videos of Baroque pieces that are currently included in the piano syllabuses of the ABRSM / Trinity exam boards, as well as other repertoire, and resources for learning to play basso continuo and reading figured-bass notation.

It also offers tuition and courses at our studio in East Dulwich SE22 London
